Stop 1: Uçhisar Castle Entrance

The journey begins at the base of Uçhisar Castle. This 60-meter natural rock fortress has been used as a defensive position since Hittite times. The rock is riddled with rooms and tunnels carved over millennia.
Stop 2: Castle Summit

At the top of Cappadocia! The 360-degree panorama reveals the full scope of this magical landscape. Spot Göreme, Avanos, and even Mount Erciyes on clear days. The castle housed up to 1,000 people during times of invasion.
Stop 3: Evil Eye Tree Viewpoint
20 min
The most photographed spot in Pigeon Valley features trees decorated with blue evil eye beads (nazar boncuğu). These traditional Turkish talismans protect against negative energy. The valley stretches toward Göreme below.
Stop 4: Pigeon Valley Path
40 min
Descend into the valley named for its hundreds of pigeon houses. The Cappadocians carved these dovecotes to collect guano, a valuable fertilizer. Notice the painted facades designed to attract birds.
Stop 5: Göreme Valley Entrance
10 min
The walk concludes at the Göreme end of Pigeon Valley. From here, it's a short walk into the town center. You've just completed one of Cappadocia's classic walks, connecting two villages through ancient landscapes.
