Connecting Göreme to Uçhisar, Pigeon Valley is named for the hundreds of pigeon houses carved into the rocks. Locals historically collected pigeon droppings as fertilizer for the region's famous vineyards.
Visiting Tips
Walk from Uçhisar Castle to Göreme for downhill terrain. Evil eye trees at the valley viewpoint make great photos. Allow 1.5 hours for the full walk.
